PPCT Threat Pattern Recognition & Base Use-of-Force Program

The PPCT Threat Pattern Recognition (TPR) & Base Use-of-Force Program is a nationally recognized, research-based training system used by law enforcement, corrections, security, healthcare security, and certain military applications. Designed for professionals operating under the “Color of Law,” the program focuses on behavioral threat recognition, tactical positioning, communication, and the lawful, proportional application of force. Participants learn to recognize pre-assault indicators, improve decision-making under stress, and apply practical, defensible responses in real-world environments.

For end users, PPCT improves confidence, situational awareness, and professional judgment during critical incidents. For employers, it supports liability reduction, workforce professionalism, and operational consistency. For the general public, the program promotes safer interactions through improved de-escalation, early threat recognition, and the reasonable, proportionate application of force when necessary.

Fully compliant with State and Federal safety standards applicable to 28 CFR §105.22, 18 U.S.C. §242, HRS 463 and HAR 16-97. Our training ensures educational and legal compliance, incorporates federal case law, and applies evidence-based methods from human performance, medical, legal, and tactical research, supported by the latest learning science. Instructor certification is also available.
